I’m a community-based and anti-oppression focused practitioner, educator, and researcher with a PhD in social work. For over a decade, I’ve worked in social and community services and non-profit organizations in direct practice, and research and evaluation. I’ve studied and practiced in the areas of mental health, youth, family, and community engagement, homelessness, migration, gender and sexuality, sexual violence, and social movements.
I’m currently a post-doctoral researcher in the School of Social Work at the University of Montreal. Drawing from qualitative and healing approaches, my current projects are on oral histories, community care, and community-capacity building to archive and learn from the stories of LGBTQ+ migrants and diasporic communities, particularly, the Filipino diaspora.
